Susan Striepe

This body of work was presented as an exhibition and titled, "Intersectionality." The work addressed the anthropocene as an intersection of synthetic man-made plastic objects and forms with forms and structures that were not man-made. The central assemblage in the first photograph is a grouping of plastic trash that I collected from the beach. The shells, rocks, and driftwood were also from the beach. After the close of the exhibition, the shells, rocks, and driftwood were returned to the beach and the plastic trash was recycled.
